Forged Flanges

Forged flanges describe a manufacturing route spanning several connection forms, including weld neck, slip-on and blind. The flange type must still be specified.

A forging requirement belongs with a material product specification, heat-treatment condition and finished flange drawing or standard. Appearance cannot establish that a component was forged, nor prove its grade or mechanical properties. Required records must be agreed for the specific order.

Manufacturing route and material

State the relevant forging specification and grade, together with heat treatment and supplementary requirements. A material-family name such as stainless steel is not a complete forging specification.

Finished connection and traceability

Define the final connection form, facing, dimensions and marking. Material identification and required inspection records should trace the supplied components to the agreed order requirements.

Dimensions and connection data

Define Forged Flanges as part of the complete joint. These fields identify required engineering data; they are not universal dimensions or a declaration of available sizes.
