AS 2129 Flanges
AS 2129 flange enquiries must specify the applicable table, material and connection form. Table designations cannot be replaced with an assumed PN or ASME class.
Table and construction
State the table, nominal size, material and flange type under the contract edition. These details determine the intended scope and dimensional reference. A matching nominal pipe size does not establish the required drilling, thickness or pipe connection.
Service and compatibility
Check the applicable pressure-temperature requirements for the specified material and design conditions. Review the mating flange and gasket as a complete joint. Connections from another table-based system should be compared explicitly rather than treated as automatically equivalent.
Replacement information
Provide original drawings or a verified interface record for existing plant connections. Include facing, bore and any known modifications. Define inspection, material documentation and change approval before using a proposed substitute standard or material.
